Jenna Hawkey is an international flatwater canoeist and surf lifesaver from Portreath, Cornwall. Although a surf-girl at heart, she now dedicates her time to training in K1 (kayak singles) and K4 (kayak fours) to pursue her dream of winning gold at the Olympic Games. Jenna has been a member of the Great Britain Surf Life Saving Team since 2002, and was European Ski Champion in both 2003 and 2005. She made the transition to flatwater racing in 2006 after joining Exeter Canoe Club, and was selected to represent Great Britain at the European U23 Championships, where she gained 8th place in the 1000m. Jenna is now a member of the Senior Women’s K4 which gained 7th place in the 1000m at the 2007 World Championships in Duisburg, Germany and 4th in the 500m at the 2007 U23 European Championships, Belgrade. |  |
